For the last 10 years, Wim Janssen has been the emerging name in the NZ meat industry. Meat has been in his blood for many years starting from when his great grandfather opened the first family meat products manufacturing plant in the late 1800s.
Wim was born above a butcher's shop in Holland. His dad, Piet, moved to South Africa in the late 60s where Wim learned the family tradition and opened his own shop in Pretoria in 1974. After winning numerous awards for his sausages and continental cold meats, he moved to Auckland, New Zealand in 1998, to continue his lifelong passion in the manufacture of high quality European and African style meat products.
Wim's love for his profession has resulted in a huge range of cold meats and sausages made the old fashioned way with modern technology to delight the discerning palate.
With recipes from all over the world, Wim has been able to reproduce sausages made the in the traditional authentic way of these countries.
